Town Manager

Charles Banks has been Magnolia’s Town Manager since December 5, 2024. Originally from Trenton, North Carolina, Banks received a Master of Science in Business Administration from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Mount Olive. Banks came to Magnolia with over 30 years of diverse business experience, including ownership of two successful construction businesses. He is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration with a focus on Organizational Leadership at Liberty University. As Town manager, Banks is confident that he can help Magnolia grow economically and bring back some of the excitement of future projects, once believed lost. His goals for Magnolia are to focus on economic drivers, based on what the community wants. “We’ve got a beautiful community here”, he says, “and there’s certain things that need to be here that you shouldn’t be going to other towns to have to buy.”
